Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data TEMPO Taxi (tempo.al, part of Tempo Shuttle Tours, Lushnjë) collects when you request a ride, and why.

What we collect

  • Name and phone number, so the driver and dispatcher can contact you.
  • Pickup and destination (map points and addresses), an optional note and the number of passengers.
  • Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type, used only to stop abuse and spam.
  • If you tap "Use my location", your browser shares your position once to set the pickup point. We don't track you.

How we use it

  • To organise your ride: we share your name, phone, pickup and destination with the assigned driver.
  • To send you WhatsApp messages about this ride (ride number, PIN, driver details, status link).
  • To notify our dispatch team about new rides.

Services we use

  • WhatsApp messages are sent through the AppAlbania Cloud gateway.
  • Maps use OpenStreetMap. Address search uses Photon (komoot), route lines use OSRM, and addresses for map points come from OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Your search text and map points are sent to these services to answer your request.

How long we keep it

Ride details are kept for 12 months, then the name, phone, note and exact addresses are removed automatically.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by contacting [email protected] or +355 69 20 36 256.

Cookies and storage

We set a cookie to remember your language. Your browser may remember your name and phone on this device to fill the form faster next time; you can clear it in your browser settings. No advertising or tracking cookies.

TEMPO Driver app (for drivers)

Drivers working for TEMPO use the TEMPO Driver app. It stores the driver's name, phone number, car and plate (entered by the office), a sign-in token on the phone and, for notifications, a push token.

  • Location: only while the driver has switched to Online. Updated about every 10 seconds, also in the background (for example while navigating in Google Maps or Waze), so the office can offer the nearest rides and the passenger can see the car approaching. Sharing stops as soon as the driver goes Offline.
  • Only the latest position is kept for dispatch; the route of a ride is kept for 30 days, then deleted.
  • No advertising, no tracking, no data sold or shared with third parties. Push notifications are delivered through Expo, Apple and Google.
  • Drivers can ask the office to delete their account and data at any time.

Delete your data (TEMPO Driver app and rides)

  1. Send an email to [email protected] (or call +355 69 20 36 256) from the phone number or email linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my data”.
  2. Say whether you are a driver (TEMPO Driver app) or a passenger.
  3. We confirm and delete your data within 30 days.

What is deleted: drivers — the account (name, phone, car, plate, password), signed-in devices, push tokens and location history; passengers — name, phone, notes and exact addresses of your rides. What is kept: an anonymous record of completed rides (date, distance, price), without any personal data, for accounting.
